Passing of Erin VerHoeven

9.8.2021 / All

We join those of you mourning the passing of Erin VerHoeven. Erin was a great person who enriched the lives of those she touched. A friend and client of ours for some 20 years. We miss you Erin.

Back in 2005, Mark & I were discussing ways to grow our business. We looked at the current clients and decided that construction was a good line of business. With Erin/Corstone at the top of my list, I called and reached Erin right away. I proceeded to ask her how we could expand our business in the construction industry. Immediately, she said, "come to dinner tonight". I will never forget it!

After stumbling and suggesting I was not dressed for dinner, she said, business casual would be perfect. Scrambling, I then asked where? Finally, Erin let me off the hook and said, there was an ABC dinner meeting that night in Bellevue and that I was welcome!

At dinner, there was the obligatory giving of elevator speeches around the table. At the conclusion of mine, the woman next to me, Karen Say of Saybr Contractors, asked for my card and the next morning we had a contract to redevelop their broken website! We are proud to say that Saybr is still a current client and so is Corstone.

Erin made a significant impact on our business and we will never forget her generosity in helping our small website company.
